2019 SPIRE Workouts schedule

ADR paid members in 2019 are eligible to attend for FREE this year as part of your annual ADR membership.

The first date was Jan. 9. The remaining five workout dates are scheduled for 7 pm on Jan. 16, Jan. 30, Feb. 6, Feb. 13 and Feb. 27

ADR 2018 Awards Banquet RSVP and payment info

The Ashtabula Distance Runners 2018 Awards Banquet and annual membership meeting will be Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Martinis Restaurant starting at 6 pm. This year the banquet will feature a delicious menu, as well as a photo booth and the awesome DJ Jeremy James to entertain us before, during and after the dinner. There will be a cash bar available, and we will hold a 50/50 drawing to make one lucky runner a little wealthier! We will be presenting awards for Male and Female Top 3 Overall, Top 3 in each Age Category and a few special awards of which the winners were nominated by your peers. We will also have a very short meeting to conduct some Club business.

We are offering –> ADR members who ran at least six (6) Grand Prix races <– a discounted price of $10 for the banquet meal, and $15 price for all other ADR members and guests. Everyone is welcome!

SEEKING SPECIAL AWARD NOMINATIONS FOR 2018 ADR BANQUET

The Ashtabula Distance Runners Club would like to recognize individuals at the Jan. 12, 2019, annual awards banquet outside of the Grand Prix standings. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, Dec. 21.

Awards are: Most Improved Male, Most Improved Female, Most Inspiring Male, Most Inspiring Female, Rookie of the Year Male, Rookie of the Year Female.

Last minute registration and packet pickup details for 2018 Bridge 2 Bridge Half Marathon and 5K

Last-minute REGISTRATION details for the 2018 Bridge 2 Bridge Half Marathon and 5K races on Sunday Oct. 28 are here:

Online registration will close Saturday Oct. 27 at about 10 a.m. You can register here: https://register.chronotrack.com/r/38162

You may also register in person on Saturday Oct. 27 from 1 to 4 PM at packet pick up at Briquettes Smokehouse in Ashtabula. The address is 405 Morton Dr, Ashtabula, OH 44004

Lastly, if that doesn’t fit your schedule, you can still register Sunday morning Oct. 28 at the Harbor-Topky Library from 7 AM to 8:15 AM. Race starts at 8:30 AM. The address is 1633 Walnut Blvd, Ashtabula, OH 44004, and is right next to the starting line for both races. It is recommended you get there as early as possible.

Your best bet is to register NOW while you’re thinking about it. Avoid any lines to register on race day!

2018 Bridge to Bridge Half Marathon course and map

2018 COURSE MAP!

The race begins at the Hubbard House driveway on Walnut Avenue by Walnut Beach, then head west on Walnut Boulevard, south on Union Avenue, east on 7th Street, north on Thayer, east on 5th Street, cross Lake Avenue to Bridge Street, east on Bridge Street to Columbus Avenue, west on West 23th St. (at traffic light), brief south to West 24th St. (Merry Street Hill), south on Lake Avenue, south on Main Avenue, east on West 46th St., south on Topper Avenue, east on 48th, south on Dwight Avenue Street, east on 51st St., through Kister property near intersection of Route 84 and 51st St., south on State Road to the Gulf Smolen Bridge and go left around cones at back. Then runners will reverse course and head back the same way to the Lift Bridge in the Harbor and turn into finish line at Morton Drive by Briquettes.

Announcement!!! A $50 bonus will be awarded to the male and/or female winner, if either or both break the event record at the 2018 Bridge to Bridge Half Marathon on Sunday Oct. 28.
