The Ashtabula Distance Runners 2019 Awards Banquet and annual membership meeting will be Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Martinis Restaurant starting at 6 pm. This year the banquet will feature a delicious menu with your choice of beef, chicken or vegetarian dish available as you pay for your reservation.

There will also be a photo booth and the awesome DJ Jeremy James to entertain us before, during and after the dinner. There will be a cash bar available, and we will hold a 50/50 drawing to make one lucky runner a little wealthier! We will be presenting awards for Male and Female Top 3 Overall, Top 3 in each Age Category and a few special awards of which the winners were nominated by your peers. We will also have a very short meeting to conduct some Club business.

We are offering –> ADR members who ran at least six (6) Grand Prix races <– a discounted price of $10 for the banquet meal, and $15 price for all other ADR members and guests. Everyone is welcome. Note: If you ran five (5) or fewer races or even zero (0) races, you are still welcomed to attend at the $15 price!

Our records show the following ADR members have completed six or more races that were included in the ADR Grand Prix in 2019 and are entitled to a $5 discount to attend the 2019 Annual Awards Banquet at 6 p.m. Jan. 11, 2020, at Martinis! in Saybrook Township.

Greetings ADR Members. There are five board members whose terms on the ADR Board are expiring.

They are: Warren Dillaway, John Hutchison, Dan Loose, Bonnie Sikora, and Jim Timonere.

The ADR Board Nominating Committee is recommending these individuals as the nominated slate for the membership to consider during a vote for the 2020 Election of Officers at the banquet meeting at Martinis Restaurant and Lounge starting around 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11. These new terms are for two years.

However, if you are interested in serving on the ADR Board for one of these five positions, nominations from the floor will be accepted prior to a vote. Please let it be known at the time when nominations are open to the floor. When nominations are closed, a vote will be held to select five board members.

Also, if you are interested in serving on the ADR Board at some point down the road, please let me or another Board member know, so that you can become involved for consideration to be involved in committees and/or in the event of vacancies on the Board.

The other current ADR Board members who terms have one (1) year remaining on their terms are: Walter Anderson, Dawn Cragon, Marty Raffensberger, and Debi Zander.

The Ashtabula Distance Runners Club would like to recognize individuals at the Jan. 11, 2020, annual awards banquet outside of the Grand Prix standings. The deadline to submit nominations is Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Awards are: Most Improved Male, Most Improved Female, Most Inspiring Male, Most Inspiring Female, Rookie of the Year Male, Rookie of the Year Female.
